These small round donut pads are ideal for small, hard to reach corns and callouses that develop in areas such as on the sides of the toes. Composed of soft latex foam. Corns and callouses (clavi), develop because bony arise in areas of friction. The skin thickens in response as a means to protect the small fragments of bone. By removing the pressure from these areas, skin is much less likely to form a corn or callous. The hole in the center of the pad helps disperse pressure off of the corn which lies within the hole of the donut pad. Important for DIABETICS, to help prevent ulcer formation within the callous. Ideal when combined with the use of products that remove the excess thickened skin such as Keralyt gel, and those that keep the skin soft, such as AmLactin 12% Cream. For further information on the treatment of corns and clavi, please read my website newsletter on this subject.
