Ideal for areas that require donut pads cut to a unique size. This self-adhesive cushion has soft, cotton flannel padding. Corns and callouses (clavi), develop because bony arise in areas of friction. The skin thickens in response as a means to protect the small fragments of bone. By removing the pressure from these areas, skin is much less likely to form a corn or callous. Directions: Cut a patch larger than the corn. Cut a hole in the center of the patch the size of the corn. The corn lies within the donut hole, allowing the surrounding pad to remove the pressure. Important for DIABETICS, to help prevent ulcer formation within the callous. Ideal when combined with the use of products that remove the excess thickened skin such as Keralyt gel, and those that keep the skin soft, such as AmLactin 12% Cream. For further information on the treatment of corns and clavi, please read my website newsletter on this subject.
